My Story

My name is Blake

Art has always been a big part of my life, something my parents encouraged me to do from a young age. I went on to study art in college, but for a while I found myself focusing on full-time work and putting my creativity to one side.

In 2016, I lost my mum, and that changed everything for me. The following year, I found my way back to art, but this time through digital work and it quickly became something that brought me comfort and joy again.

In 2018, I started Magpie Digital Art. The name means a lot to me, as it’s a small way of staying connected to my mum. I began sharing personalised portraits on Facebook, each one created with care and often tied to special memories of loved ones.

More recently, in 2025, I’ve started to grow a supportive following and have been creating meaningful pieces for fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and charities. I’ve seen how this kind of work not only gets shared, but helps spread the message further and brings support back to those who need it most, and that’s all thanks to you.

I am incredibly grateful for all the support I’ve received from customers, friends, and family. It truly means the world to me, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without it.

If you’d like to share your story with me, please feel free to get in touch. I’d be honoured to create something meaningful for you.
